EGFSN Membership Expansion 2025
In April 2025, a public call for expressions of interest was made in order to expand the membership of the Expert Group on Future Skills Need. Candidates were sought with academic expertise, or business representative body expertise, or union representative expertise.
Following this process, three successful candidates were identified and have been appointed by the Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke. Helen Murphy, South-East Technological University, will be the new academic representative. Kara McGann, Ibec, will be the new enterprise body representative. Liam Berney, Irish Congress of Trade Unions, will be the new union representative. The new members will take up their roles on 1st September 2025.
